But if there was a guide that simplified that into equipment/food/booze/potions.

Tips for questing can be found on the wiki. Knowing the mechanics of each zone is mega important to knowing how to shorten the time you spend there.

If you use mafia, runs in the relay browser and is super helpful for remembering what you should be doing where.From that starting point, it would be helpful if we knew whether you are doing hc or normal; challenge paths or no path; if normal, what equipment you have to pull, and finally what familiars and skills you have.QFT: The shorter your runs, the longer they take in real life time. Alright, here's what I'm currently pulling/doing. Smith refers to smiths tome; I go for the degrassi knoll moon sign, so the only thing I can't get immediately for the Smith's Tome is the gloves for Hand in Glove, hence the one smith's pull. (btw, any number that's in parenthesis is found in-run, not pulled; they're just there to remind me not to pull them). My goal on day one is to hit lvl 6 before I consume anything, so that I can go straight for the key pies (Boris, Jarlsberg, Sneaky Pete) and the superhuman cocktails. If you have to though, you can consume the smith foods (just don't pull a second milk of magnesium; it's not worth the two adventures).

There's a couple open spots in the second and third days, particularly if you've found some of the items you'll end up using in the sorceress tower (although you won't know what you'll need unless you have an upgraded telescope). If you're looking for other things to pull, I've got some suggestions.
