He also gets the most benefit from candy barbs attack speed buff.Other classes technically have higher dps, but end up being slower in a speed run for one reason or another.

Like the pirate captain, who has to build up and maintain his small turrets, or the draco who has to set up his minions.All that being said ultra mode speed runs are probably the least of your worries. By the time you get over 20kpr any dps class is fully capable contributing to an ultra run. Although close up physical classes will have a harder time staying alive and not interfering with the tank, while the gun slinger is more likely to get invites and will be able to contribute worthwhile damage at lower pr.
