Dark Souls 2 Builds

Chaos Blade is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for PvE, it's only OP and good for PvP.Just level up FAITH and INT and infuse the weapons you like with darknight stones. There are some weapons that can cast miracles/spells/hexes like the Blue Flame, Pilgrim Spoontoon (DLC) and Sorcerer Twinblade (DLC), these are cool because you can mix melee and spells. You don't have to level up INT and FAI equally to get a good amount of damage, as dark scales with FAI+INT, so level up one or another more if you want to use an specific spells that requires more stats. Let's see what I can come up with.If you got the strength, get the Crypt Blacksword. Infuse that with dark, use resonant weapon on it and two-handing will wreck everything forever.

Carmageddon: The 405 freeway shutdown A large swath of the 405 Freeway will be shut down this weekend beginning Friday evening in what's been dubbed 'Carmageddon' by Angelenos sensitive to the. Carmageddon 405 freeway.

You'll get the weapon later in the game, tho.Stats will usually give you less benefit after hitting 40, but getting about 40-50 INT and FTH is important if you want to be a pure hexer with max damage.Best aka. Most damaging single-hit spell for hexers is Resonant Soul. It costs 500 souls to cast and hits like a truck. Of course there's Climax which is much stronger but it uses ALL of the souls you're carrying.

Other useful spells are Resonant Weapon, used of course on a dark infused weapon. Scraps of Life and Darkstorm are very good at crowd control and knocking weaker enemies down, giving you some breathing space.Kill The Rotten on NG+ or by using a Bonfire Ascetic to raise him to that level and you'll get a special soul that can be traded for Numbness that gives you high physical defense for a short moment.

Good against hard-hitting bosses.About armor, you'll want to use as light armor as possible since a lot of your stat investment will go to attunement, int and faith. Get the hexer set because its hood will give you extra uses for all your spells. Other armor is just up to you since light armor won't give you much any defense, so it's just a matter of looking swagger. Also get the Dark Fog. Use it to take out enemies that you have hard time killing otherwise. Also use it to conserve other spells. Use it to take out enemies that you have hard time killing otherwise. Also use it to conserve other spells. Yo man, i will probably run crypt blacksword to try it out. What do you think bout getting stats like this for my level?VGR 26END 13VIT 11ATN 13 ( i will use southern ban ring+1,+2 when i'll find it)STR 40DEX 10ADP 10INT 30FTH 30which catalyst should i use (chime i guess?). Pumping strength that high is a real pain in the ♥♥♥ for a hexer at the SM I like to play with, so what I did for mine was leave strength in the 20s or so and shift most of those points to attunement instead.

You're going to want more than four or five slots, especially with things like dark fog and GRS taking two each. So, with lower strength, the weapons that have worked really well for me have been a magic craftsman's hammer and a dark fume sword. You can use something easier to get as your dark weapon instead of that, obviously, but the craftsman's hammer is really, really versatile in pve. Worth considering. The catalyst I like is actually the black witch staff. It definitely does not do the best damage, but it's neat being able to cast certain utility sorceries and miracles as well, and not having to go back and forth between a staff and a chime. This is especially true since dark orb is hands down the best general use attack for pve, whereas for tough enemies you're probably going to want to use GRS at least, so that right there involves some swapping. Caitha's chime is really good, though, if you want to use one for specific encounters.

Caitha's chime is really good, though, if you want to use one for specific encounters. Actually i am using Caitha's but i feel too slow and literally too stamina dependant. I mean that i hit and then i am forced to run away and always risk to got guardbroken or unbalanced. Dunno if crypt blacksword is the right choice. I'd srsly like to try a katana like chaos blade.

^Follow that guide. It's really good.Gear is usually more important than stats. Just get your Int up as high as you can, eventually to at least 50, enough Attunement for spell slots, and enough of the other stats so you can still dodge and carry your gear. Upgrade your staff to boost spell damage. Infuse your weapons with Magic, so they deal damage based on Int. You only need enough Str and Dex to wield your weapon.Get Faith to 20 to get Sunset Staff and Hexer's Hood off the hex teacher, or 30 to use hexes as your main spells.

You don't need to upgrade the staff, it needs Twinkling Titanite and you'll replace it eventually. The Hood is the real gem, you might use that the rest of the game. In the Dragon Shrine, you'll get the best staff: The Staff of Wisdom. Upgrade the hell out of it, infuse it with Magic, and never worry about staves ever again.

It can't cast hexes, but it's perfect for a pure sorcerer.Again, follow that guide. Soul Geyser has been nerfed since it was written, it's no longer a'Kill Everything on the screen!' Button like it used to be, but the rest of it is accurate.

Once you have the right gear and enough Int, you can blast the rest of the game to rubble. A pure int or faith character is extremely unreliable, early and late game. You're going to want some sort of physical ability, mainly to alleviate lack of casts and enemies resistant to your element (the resistance thing will be VERY noticeable late game unless you're a hexer)Your staff progression for a pure int character should be as follows IMO:Sorcery staff archdrake (maybe if you really want it and have the faith to buy it from felkin) witchtree staff staff of wisdom dlc staves if you so wish, although I gave up on an int character because how brutal the dlcs are towards mages, so i have little experience with them.

Cleric builds suck. Go dark magic, and just use corrosive gas, dark orbs, affinity, and scraps of life.1: blast them with gas until youre out of spells or their equipment breaks.2: switch to dark orbs and start mashing that r1 button.3: spam this like crazy. For some unknowable reason, these idiots will stand RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU and let you cast it. Some will try circling in for a backstab, but jester/iron clad armor negates that.4: when you knock them down, cast scraps of life. Or another affinity.which staff you should use, eh i always just use the bright blue one. It honestly makes very little difference regardless of the staff or spell used. While there is obviously a difference in damage output, its NOTHING like what the staff stats say.

Dark

If a staff has slightly less 'damage' from magic/dark than another staff, its going to do about the same damage on every spell. If theres a 100 point difference, youll be looking at maybe 15 less damage.

It honestly does not matter what staff you use, and the 'scaling damage' is close enough to being the same on every staff, that it dosent matter either. Originally posted by:1 thing i dont get though. In that guide the guy said 'amazing staff' which is the sunset stuff.now when i compare the sunset staff with my starter staff its actually weaker? Output dmg numbers could be lower, but basically the final damge is not so different with a low level pg.

But consider some circumstances: you own from the start the fastest sfaff of the game, it is upgradable with standard titanite, in the early game you unlock the blachsmith in majula and collect some titanite to upgrade it, in the mid game you unlock another blacksmith able to infuse weapons, so you can earn a big bonus infusing that staff with magic. In the late game you'll find the most powerfull staff of the game, wich outclass any other staff. After all, for a pure sorcerer the most convenient way is to fully upgrade the starting staff in before he find the staff of wisdom.Things change if you want to use both sorceries and hexes, because in this situation the sunset staff is the best one.
